“Alimenta Dietetics and Health Promotion aims to inspire, create and promote a healthier community.”

Charlene Leslie

- Dietitian with a passion for Sports Nutrition,

Health Promotion and Public Health.

Growing up in Aruba, my life consisted of school, track & field and the occasional modeling job. At age 17, I packed my bags and moved to the Netherlands with the dream of becoming a Sports Dietitian.

After succesfully completing my Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the HAN University of Applied Sciences, with a minor in Sports Nutrition, I decided to return back home. While gaining professional experience, I continued broadening my knowledge by specializing in Sports Nutrition and earning a Masters degree in Nutritional Epidemiology & Public Health from the Wageningen University.

My professional experience started in Health Promotion working at the the government’s Institute for Healthy and Active Living (IBiSA). Since founding Alimentá, I have worked with a wide variety of clients, athletes and organisations. Offering personal consultations, workshops and working on projects with the aim of helping others making healthy eating part of their daily lifestyle.

Since 2019 I also work as Project Coordinator for the Aruban Diabetes Foundation, where I get to coordinate multiple projects focused on the Prevention and Self Management of Diabetes.
